PPU advises Lantánidos PE fund on rare earth project divestiture
Chilean law firm Phiippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has acted as counsel to private equity fund Lantánidos on its sale of rare earth project Biolantánidos, through Hochschild’s acquisition of a 94-per cent stake in Chilean company REE UNO.
“This is a one of a kind transaction as it corresponds to a unique deposit in Chile of rare earths, with a minimum invasive procedure for its exploitation,” the law firm said.
The deal is valued at $60 million.
PPU partners Juan Paulo Bambach (pictured) and Carlos Alberto Reyes led the team advising Lantánidos, with associates Cristina Olavarría, Jaime Cruzat and Felipe Ossa.
