PPU advises lenders on Chile wind farm financing
Chilean law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU y Uría (PPU) has acted Legal counsel to the lenders in the financing of three wind farms located in Los Ángeles, Bío Bío (Region VIII), Collipulli, La Araucanía (Region IX), and Negrete, also in Bío Bío, and which have a combined generation capacity of 367.8 megawatts.
The lenders were Germany’s KfW IPEX-Bank and CaixaBank, with the loan for the project totalling $443.7 million.
PPU’s team was led by partners Marcela Silva (pictured) and Carlos Alberto Reyes.
Law firm Morales y Besa acted as local counsel to the borrower, Luther acted as German counsel to the borrower, while Hogan Lovells acted as German counsel to the lenders.
