PPU assists CMPC with sustainability-linked credit

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Chile has assisted Export Development Canada, as lender, in providing a sustainability-linked credit agreement to CMPC Celulose Riograndense, guaranteed by Empresas CMPC.

This transaction was closed on 28 June, with Pillsbury Law and Machado Meyer acting as counsels to the lender in New York and Brazil, respectively.

Benjamin Concha acted as in-house counsel to Empresas CMPC.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman’s team was represented by Russell DaSilva.

Machado Meyer’s team included counsel Nei Zelmanovits.

PPU’s team was led by partner Marcelo Armas (pictured left), with support from associates Daniel Parodi (pictured right) and Juan Ignacio Rosales.
