PPU assists GRE Villa in $36.5m credit facility
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Peru has assisted GRE Villa (Lindcorp Group) in the preparation and negotiation of a credit facility granted by Banco Internacional del Perú – Interbank for PEN 36.5 million.
The transaction, closed on 14 June, also involved the negotiation of a trust agreement with La Fiduciaria and a surety agreement with a member company of the Lindcorp Group. Estudio CMS Grau acted as counsel to Interbank.
The firm also advised the shareholders and management of the Lindcorp Group in the drafting and negotiation of certain agreements and documents that formed part of the structuring of this transaction.
Lindcorp Group is a strong competitor in the Peruvian real estate market, especially in the leasing of industrial lots, and in the retail market with its brands “Tiendas Tambo” and “Tiendas Aruma”.
Mariano Chumpitaz acted as in-house counsel to Interbank, while Gabriela Soto and Nicole Jimenez acted as in-house counsel to La Fidiciaria.
