PPU Chile counsels Grenergy on solar energy plants financing

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has steered Grenergy on the $85 million financing

PPU Chile assisted as Chilean counsel to Grenergy Renovables,S.A. as the sponsor, and GR Palmas de Cocalán Spa as the borrower to finance 14 new solar energy plants for $85 million, granted by Natixis as the lender.

This financing will provide funds for the construction of 14 PMGD solar energy plants in Chile, adding 130 MW of clean energy to the Chilean market.

Grenergy in-house counsels Pablo Abell and Álvaro Ruiz intervened in the operation.

Clifford Chance acted as borrower’s NY counsel.

Milbank acted Natixis as NY counsel, and Guerrero Olivos was the lender’s Chilean counsel.
