PPU counsels Experian Group on acquisition of financial information services company
PPU Chile has advised Experian Group on the acquisition of a stake in Servicios de Información Avanzada Comercial y Financiera
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has counselled Experian Group on the acquisition of a controlling stake in the financial information services and credit bureau company, Servicios de Información Avanzada Comercial y Financiera S.A., owned by the Chilean Association of Banks and Financial Institutions.
The transaction was closed on 30 June and marks the introduction of a major global player in the credit bureau market in Chile. The company will improve access to credit for the Chilean population by implementing global practices in credit assessment and fraud prevention.
In this deal PPU, advised Experian Group (buyers); Prieto y Cía, advised the sellers (ABIF); EY Law, acted as tax advisor to Experian; while SIV Abogados, advised on the matters to which the target (Sinacofi Buró) was a party.
Experian operates in 44 countries with 17,800 employees, dedicated to helping businesses and consumers around the world access credit and maximise every opportunity.
