PPU counsels Intursa on acquisition of Highgate portfolio

PPU Peru has advised Inversiones Nacionales de Turismo in a negotiation with Highgate to operate 6 hotels

 Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has counselled Inversiones Nacionales de Turismo S.A. (Intursa) in a negotiation with Highgate for the assignment of the operation and management of a portfolio of six hotels in Peru. The portfolio includes Marriott-branded properties in locations considered best-in-class within their respective brands.

The transaction, which closed on 11 March, included participation in the jurisdictions of Peru, the United States and Mexico. Greenberg Traurig and Sandman Savrann PLLC were also involved in advising on the transaction.

Grupo Intursa provides its services through the hotel chain “Libertador Hotels Resort & Spas”, and owns hotels in Cusco, Arequipa, Puno, Trujillo and Lima. In addition, it has affiliated hotels in Colca, Tambopata, and the Sacred Valley of Cusco.
