PPU counsels MUFG Bank on $40m loan to Scala Chile Data Centers

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Chile has locally counselled MUFG Bank in the closing of a loan agreement subject to the laws of the State of New York, for a total amount of $40,000,000 USD in order to provide Scala Chile Data Centers with financing.

The company will use the proceeds to carry out capital expenditures and capital expenditures related to the construction of new data centres in Chile.

This transaction was completed on 21 August, with Vinson & Elkins and Claro & Cía advising Scala Chile Data Centers in New York and Chile, respectively.

PPU’s team was led by partner Marcela Silva (pictured), assisted by associates Pedro Pablo Valenzuela, Nicole Bercovich and Dominga Brito.
