PPU counsels on SQM Chile bond issuance

PPU has advised the representatives of the initial purchasers in the bond issue by Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile

 Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría, through its Chile office, has counselled BofA Securities, Inc, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, as representatives of the various Initial Purchasers, in the issuance of bonds at a rate of 3.5% of Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A.

The closing of this transaction took place on 20 September, where the bonds, with a value of $700,000,000 U.S. dollars, have a term to 2051.

PPU acted as Chilean counsel for the Initial Purchasers’ Representatives, while Davis Polk acted as their NY counsel. Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile was advised by in-house counsel Gonzalo Aguirre, as well as Claro y Cía as local counsel and Winston & Strawn as NY counsel.
