PPU hires Sergio Montes for labour law practice
Chilean law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU) has hired Sergio Montes as director general of its labour law practice.
Montes (pictured) will lead a renewed team of eight specialised lawyers led by partner Paulina Miranda and his recruitment is part of PPU’s strategy to position itself as a point of reference in the labour law segment, the law firm said in a statement.
Montes has ample experience in complex, collective negotiation and labour trials, including litigation over alleged violations of fundamental rights, workplace accidents, anti-union practices and dismissals.
He has been recognised for his capacity for designing strategies, handling complex situations and his capacity for leadership, the firm said.
