PPU promotes three to the partnership

Iberoamerican law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría announced that Eduardo Escalona, Diego Cardona and Nicolás Tirado have been promoted to partners. 

Escalona is based in Chile and focuses on economic regulation of public utility services, especially in energy and telecommunications.

Diego Cardona earned an LL.M. at the University of Chicago and specialises in competition law, unfair competition and consumer protection. He has extensive experience in advising domestic and foreign companies on complex business integrations and has participated in some of the major investigations on restrictive practices in his country

Nicolás Tirado holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and has experience in complex corporate and M&A matters. In addition, he has handled cross-border reorganizations and insolvency proceedings. Besides practising in his country, Tirado has worked in Beijing and New York.

Both Cardona and Tirado work in the Bogota office of the firm.
