PPU represents Navent in complaint against Proptech
PPU Peru has assisted E-Holding SA in a complaint of unfair competition filed against Proptech S.A.
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has represented E-Holding SA (Navent), owner of the platforms Urbania.pe and Adondevivir.com, the most relevant classified advertising portals in the real estate sector in Peru, in a complaint for acts of unfair competition made by Proptech SA, owner of the portal Casas360.pe, which replicated on its portal advertisements posted on Navent’s website that contained personal data of its clients and presented misleading information in its advertising.
The advice, carried out in December 2021, led to a favourable decision by the Unfair Competition Supervision Commission, which sanctioned Proptech for acts of misappropriation of Navent’s efforts (web scraping) and false advertising, ordering the cessation of such conduct.
