PRCP promotes four new partners

Peruvian law firm Payet Rey Cauvi Pérez Abogados has announced the promotion of Vanessa Chávarry, Micaela Ortiz, David Kuroiwa and Mayra Bryce as new partners.

Vanessa Chávarry (pictured left), from the Environmental practice, joined PRCP in 2014. A graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, she holds an MBA from INCAE Business School. Prior to joining PRCP, she was a commissioner at the Environmental, Public Services and Indigenous Peoples Office of the Defensoría del Pueblo, and a lawyer specialising in environmental issues at Roselló Abogados and Grau Abogados. She has more than 15 years of experience in providing advice on environmental law, social issues and corporate social responsibility.

Micaela Ortiz (pictured centre, left) is part of the firm since 2008, being part of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution area. She holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and an LLM from IE Business School. She previously worked in the arbitration department as a foreign associate at the Spanish firm Pérez-Llorca. Her practice focuses on arbitration, civil procedural law, constitutional procedural law and administrative procedural law.

David Kuroiwa (pictured centre, right) joined the firm in 2007 in the Competition practice. A Magna Cum Laude lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, he also holds an LLM from the University of Chicago. He previously worked as a foreign associate at the Spanish firm Uría Menéndez. He specialises in competition law, intellectual property, data protection, administrative law, copyright, consumer protection and commercial law.

Mayra Bryce (pictured right) has been with the firm for more than 12 years in the Dispute Resolution area. She holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a diploma in International Arbitration and Investments from the Universidad del Pacífico and an LLM from New York University. She was an international visiting associate in the New York office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom. Her practice focuses on international law, arbitration, civil and commercial dispute resolution, civil procedural law and contracts.
