RAD promotes new partner in Mexico
Rebaza Alcázar & De Las Casas has announced the promotion of Maite Colmenter (pictured) as a new partner in the Private Clients and Finance areas, effective 12 December.
Maite assumes this position from Mexico City, after a year working as a lawyer of the firm, with the purpose of strengthening the firm’s representation abroad.
Maite has a law degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University – NYU (2013). Previously, she was part of D’Empaire Reyna Abogados, in Venezuela, where her practice specialised in corporate transactions and wealth management, focusing on the implementation of tax and estate planning structures.
Maite has been recognised by different legal counsels for her experience in advising high net worth families, both in wealth structuring and in the legal and succession management of family estates, including the implementation of family protocols and corporate governance.
She also has extensive experience advising clients on the negotiation and structuring of various financing transactions and infrastructure projects, both by local and international financial institutions, as well as by corporate borrowers or issuers of securities.
