Rebaza Alcázar & De las Casas adds new partner

Rebaza Alcázar & De las Casas has announced the incorporation of Roberto Polo (pictured) as a new partner in the firm’s Tax and Private Clients area.

Roberto is a graduate of the Law School of the PUCP. He holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Universidad del Pacífico and ESADE and is a specialist in International Taxation from IBFD (The Netherlands) and IE (Spain).

With almost 20 years of experience in the tax area, he has been a partner at PwC where he focused on financial services advisory, capital markets, infrastructure investment and wealth management. Roberto has advised clients on complex local and international financing transactions, as well as on major infrastructure projects in our country. His experience also includes assisting clients in tax audits and sponsoring proceedings before the tax authorities.

“His solvency and experience, particularly, in the areas of financial services, capital markets, infrastructure projects and private clients, guarantees us a natural synergy with our usual practice. Likewise, its arrival expands our capacity to meet the increasingly high demand that we must assist our clients with, in the face of tax disputes,” said Camilo Maruy, lead partner of the Tax and Private Client practice areas.

Roberto is the author of several publications on tax matters and a renowned professor of tax law at the Universidad del Pacífico. He is also a frequent lecturer in training courses for the Tax Administration, the Tax Court and the Judiciary, as well as for other departments of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

With this incorporation, the firm now has 21 partners in total.
