RE&M and Cleary counsel on Auna’s $360m IPO

Rodrigo Elías & Medrano has counselled Auna in Peru, and Cleary Gottlieb has counselled the underwriters, on the USD $360 million initial public offering (IPO) of Auna.

Auna listed its Class A shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “AUNA”, becoming the first Latin American healthcare company to be listed in the US.

The IPO consisted of the offer and sale by Auna of 30 million class A ordinary shares. The offering was listed on 21 March 2024 and closed on 26 March 2024.

Auna was also advised by Ritch Mueller in Mexico.

Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, BTG Pactual, Santander, Citigroup and HSBC acted as underwriters.

Auna operates hospitals and clinics in Mexico, Peru and Colombia and offers prepaid health plans in Peru. As of 31 December 2023, Auna’s network included 31 healthcare network facilities, consisting of hospitals, clinics, prevention and wellness centres in Mexico, Peru and Colombia, with a total of 2,308 beds.
