Rita Cortez elected president of the IAB for the third time

The members of the Instituto dos Advogados Brasileiros (IAB) elected Rita Cortez (pictured) as president of the organization for the 2025-2028 triennium. The lawyer, who has already presided over the House of Montezuma for two terms, between 2018 and 2022, received 481 votes. The figures represent 51.3% of the total valid votes, while his opponent, Carlos Eduardo Machado, received 456 votes (48.7%).
