Ritch Mueller adds Alejandro Santoyo as new partner

Ritch Mueller has announced the addition of Alejandro Santoyo (pictured) as a new partner of the Tax area.

Alejandro has more than 30 years of experience as one of the most recognized tax advisors in the market, with a special focus on the financial sector. He has advised on numerous M&A transactions, as well as private equity funds in structuring, investing and exiting funds. In addition, he has actively participated in most of the initial public offerings (IPOs) of various assets, both in Mexico and abroad, and provides ongoing advice on estate planning to Mexican families.

A lawyer from the Universidad del Valle de México, he also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master’s degree in International Taxation from the University of Miami.

Prior to his incorporation, Alejandro worked in the tax departments of firms such as KPMG, Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa, JPMorgan and Creel García-Cuéllar Aiza y Enríquez, in addition to having developed his career as an independent consultant. He is currently a member of the Tax Committee of the Mexican Association of Stock Market Institutions (AMIB) and of the Tax Committee of the Mexican Private Equity Association (AMEXCAP).
