Ritch Mueller advises Corporación Caliente on agreement between Caliplay and Playtech
Ritch Mueller represented Corporación Caliente in connection with the revised strategic agreement between its subsidiary Caliplay, a leading sports-betting company in Mexico, and Playtech, one of the top technology providers in the industry.
The cross-border transaction involved multiple jurisdictions, including California, Delaware, Mexico, and England, and officially closed on March 31, 2025. While the deal value remains confidential, the matter itself is not.
The renegotiated deal strengthens the partnership between the two companies and supports their position in the competitive Latin American gaming market.
Other firms involved in this transaction included Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, acting as legal counsel to Corporación Caliente in the revision of a strategic agreement between its subsidiary Caliplay, in Mexico, and Playtech, a top global technology provider in the gaming industry.
In addition, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) also advised Playtech, while Latham & Watkins represented Caliplay in the transaction.
