Rodrigo Elías & Medrano instructed on sale of Skanska in Peru

Rodrigo Elías & Medrano advised Confipetrol on its purchase of the Peruvian assets of Swedish construction company Skanska.

 

The deal, valued at $25 million according to market reports, give Confipetrol 100% control of the shares of Skanska in Peru and it marks the complete exit from Latin America of the construction giant. 

Confipetrol is a Colombian company which provides maintenance and operations services to the oil and gas, mining, power and industrial sectors in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia.

Partners Luis Enrique Palacios and José Chiarella led the team at Rodrigo Elías & Medrano advising Confipetrol on the acquisition. Luis Enrique Palacios also assisted Confipetrol in obtaining a credit facility from Banco de Crédito del Perú to finance the acquisition. 

Skanska retained a team at Payet, Rey, Cauvi & Perez Abogados led by partner Jose Antonio Payet. 

Banco de Crédito del Perú instructed partner Sergio Amiel and a team at Garrigues Peru.
