Rolim Goulart Cardoso advise Nexus on agreement with Engie
Rolim Goulart Cardoso advised Nexus Ligas, a manganese alloy producer, which signed a self-production energy agreement with Engie, involving two wind power generation projects in the municipality of Gentio do Ouro, Bahia.
Nexus will acquire a minority stake, without corporate control, in two Special Purpose Entities (SPEs) dedicated to energy generation. The operation aims to guarantee the partial supply of the alloy producer’s energy demand, taking advantage of the regulatory benefits of self-production by equivalence.
Rolim Goulart Cardoso relied on partners Fabio Appendino, Alessandra Rezende Torres, and Vitor Sarmento de Mello (pictured to left to right), as well as consultant Paolo Zupo Mazzucato; associates Matheus Araújo Aiala Agostinho and Renan Torres Lucas dos Santos.
In-house counsel to NEXUS: Gisele Sousa Santos.
