Rolim Goulart Cardoso and Tauil & Chequer act on partnership deal
Rolim Goulart Cardoso advised Nexus Ligas and Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Neoenergia on an agreement under which Brazil’s leading manganese alloy producer will become a partner in the Canoas 3 wind power unit of the Neoenergia Chafariz wind power complex, located in Paraíba.
The purchase and sale agreement, which will be valid for 10 years, guarantees Nexus access to 15MWm of renewable energy produced by the plant, enough to meet 27% of its current demand.
The operation was approved without restrictions by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and is subject to other conditions precedent usual to this type of transaction.
