Rubio Leguía Normand has hired Giancarlo Celis and Álvaro Palao to strengthen its Litigation and Arbitration area
Rubio Leguía Normand has added Giancarlo Celis as a consultant, and Álvaro Palao as an associate, to strengthen its Litigation and Arbitration area. With this integration, this area, led by partner Bruno Marchese, now has 8 members in total.
Giancarlo Celis (pictured), lawyer from the University of Lima, is a specialist in judicial and arbitration litigation, with more than 16 years of professional experience. He has been Head of the Litigation and Arbitration Area, and has also led important teams in these specialities in leading law firms in the country. In addition, he has headed the litigation practice of major multinational companies in positions such as Legal Manager and Regional Legal Manager. He has experience in all types of dispute resolution, legal risk assessment, legal affairs management, compliance, and corporate affairs. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from The University of Virginia School of Law, and has been teaching for more than 9 years, to date, different courses of Civil Procedure Law at the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He is also Executive Director of the Peruvian Institute of Compliance and professor in the Master of Business Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
Álvaro Palao holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from The University of Melbourne, Australia. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialisation in Finance and Corporate Law from ESAN, and a Law Degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has more than 10 years of experience and focuses his practice on Civil, Commercial, Constitutional, Administrative Litigation and Arbitration. He also has extensive experience in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods in highly complex matters.
