Santamarina + Steta advises on acquisition of Querétaro FC

Mexican law firm Santamarina + Steta has advised Quegat, a group of investors in Mexican football clubs, on its acquisition of the Gallos Blancos of Querétaro.

Gallos Blancos de QuerétaroThe Gallos Blancos club was founded in 1950, is affiliated with the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (Femexfut), and plays in the country’s Liga BBVA MX league.

The club was sold by Grupo Caliente, a Mexican casino operator and sporting event company. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Santamarina + Steta’s team was led by Ricardo Orea Montaño, Juan Pablo Rodríguez Sada and Karim Chabero. The law firm has offices in Querétaro, a city in central Mexico, as well as in Mexico City and Monterrey.
