Schmidt Valois Advogados has announced Victor Hugo Macedo do Nascimento as a new partner
Victor Hugo Macedo do Nascimento (pictured) joined the Schmidt Valois Law Firm in October.
Tax lawyer with a career spanning over 12 years, having represented Brazilian and foreign clients in tax litigation, Nascimento will now work at the firm’s headquarters in São Paulo, together with partner Alexei Macorin Vivan, and will strengthen the Tax Law team, which includes partners Rodrigo Pinheiro and João Agripino Maia.
A graduate in Law from USP, a post-graduate in Tax Law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law (IBDT), and a master in Tax Law from FGV, Nascimento has extensive experience in resolving cases involving federal (IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, INSS, IPI, II etc.), state (ICMS and ITCMD) and municipal (ISS, IPTU and ITBI) taxes.
He stands out for his work in the administrative and judicial sphere, having represented companies from the most varied sectors of the economy, such as telecommunications, food, beverages, energy and taxation of import and export operations.
