Sergio Bermudes Advogados advised the Península FII Real Estate Investment Fund on closing of negotiations with Grupo Pão de Açúcar (GPA)
Sergio Bermudes Advogados advised the Real Estate Investment Fund FII Península on closing the negotiation of an arbitration proceeding involving the client and Grupo Pão de Açúcar (GPA).
The process started in 2017 with the dispute over the rental values of over 60 properties under Península’s portfolio leased to GPA. It finally reached a conclusion with a mutual deal in which Grupo Pão de Açúcar pays Fundo Península’s due values, while obtaining greater freedom to operate the real estate properties.
The case was led by the firm’s partners Caetano Berenguer (pictured top left), Fabiano Robalinho (pictured top right), Marcio Vieira Souto Costa Ferreira (pictured bottom left), Renato Grava Brazil (pictured bottom centre) and Francisco Todescan (pictured bottom right).
