The Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo (TJ-SP) defined the 15-year dispute between the telephone company and the businessman Ricardo Hallak, owner of the cell phone retailer Perseverance.

The businessman demanded the amount as compensation for alleged breach of contract for the supply of cell phones signed with the former Telesp Celular, acquired by Telefonica.

The judges of TJ-SP confirmed, at the beginning of the month, the sentence that annulled the expertise that indicated the value of R$ 47 billion.

The value of the collection was higher than the company’s turnover last year, of R$ 43 billion.
