Seven senior associates promoted to partner at Basham
Basham has announced a round of promotions across its three offices in Mexico, with seven senior associates joining the partnership.
The move follows increased client demand in areas such as administrative law, arbitration, commercial litigation, criminal litigation, labout and M&A.
The Mexico City is now home to four new partners: Jesus Colunga, Amilcar Garcia, Juan Carlos Hernandez and Rodolfo Barreda. Colunga focuses on corporate transactions with an emphasis in the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Garcia´s work includes joint ventures, M&A, corporate restructuring, focusing on real estate transactions. Hernandez handles intellectual property matters while Barreda focuses on administrative law.
Alvaro Gonzalez and Jorge Medina are the new partners in Monterrey while Guillermo Aldana joins the partnership in Queretaro. Gonzalez specialises in labour and employment matters and Medina focuses on criminal litigation and strategies related to the Federal Act to Prevent and Identify Illegally-Funded Transactions and the equivalent legislations in the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Aldana has strong experience in civil, arbitration, commercial and family law actions as well as in commercial insolvency proceedings and alternate dispute resolution.
