Several firms advise on sale of Clorox operations in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay
Bruchou & Funes de Rioja, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Posadas Posadas & Vecino have advised The Clorox Company on the sale of its operations in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay to an investment group led by Apex Capital.
The transaction included the two production plants of Clorox Argentina, as well as the rights to certain Clorox brands in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, and the shared intellectual property between those brands. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The sale did not include Clorox’s research and development and corporate centres in Latin America, which will remain in Argentina to support Clorox’s continued operations in other Latin American markets and provide transition services to Clorox Argentina under its new shareholders.
The firms advising Apex Capital were Estudio Garrido, Hogan Lovells, Estudio Palacios and Allende & Brea.
Apex Capital is a private equity fund associated with Grupo Mariposa, a food and beverage company with 139 years of history and operations in 16 countries.
Osca Arroyo and Cristóbal Fernández Abascal acted as in-house legal counsels to Apex Capital.
