Several Firms advised on IDB Invest international loan/line of credit
Stocche Forbes and Clifford Chance, advised Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest), as it has granted Manaus Ambiental an international loan/line of credit to finance the operation of a public concession to provide potable water and sewage collection/treatment services in the municipality of Manaus, state of Amazonas, Brazil.
Manaus Ambiental was advised by Mattos Filho and White & Case.
The loan, worth up to the total amount of R$750 million, is part of a larger project, estimated at R$3 billion, which will be implemented by the end of 2033, and the funds will be used to finance infrastructure works, improvements and expansion of water and sewage services in the city of Manaus. Also, the loan shall be guaranteed by a fiduciary assignment of credit rights and accounts entered by the company, as well as a guarantee of fullfilment of the loan’s obligations to be provided by the company’s shareholder.
