Several firms assist in $250m financing to Molinos Agro by IDB Invest

Tavarone Rovelli Salim & Miani, Bruchou & Funes de Rioja, Holland & Knight and Ferrere have assisted in the financing granted to Molinos Agro, together with Molinos Overseas Commodities, of up to US$ 250,000,000 by IDB Invest.

The uncommitted financing consists of a direct loan of up to US$50 million, and up to US$200 million of mobilised funds, with Banco Santander and Rabobank as lead arrangers, aimed at securing short- and medium-term liquidity to pre-finance the exports of products and commodities marketed by the company.

TRSYM advised Molinos Agro, while Bruchou, H&K and Ferrere acted as advisors to IDB Invest under the laws of Argentina, New York and Uruguay, respectively.

IDB Invest, a member of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, is a multilateral development bank committed to promoting the economic development of member countries in Latin America and the Caribbean through the private sector. In this particular transaction, IDB Invest’s development objectives include: (i) increasing value-added production in the agricultural sector and (ii) fostering exports and purchases from the domestic supply chain.

Molinos Agro is a company listed on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange since 2017, which was created in July 2016 as a result of the corporate reorganisation of Molinos Río de la Plata S.A.
