Several firms in CAF loan to Pan American Energy Argentina

Akin Gump, Martínez de Hoz & Rueda, Clifford Chance and Bruchou & Funes de Rioja have advised on the Andean Development Corporation (CAF, for its acronym in Spanish) A/B loan to Pan American Energy, Argentina Branch.

The loan, dated 18 May, was for a principal amount of up to US$300,000,000, maturing in 2029.

Pan American Energy Argentina was advised by Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld under New York law and Martinez de Hoz & Rueda under Argentine law. Clifford Chance, Bruchou & Funes de Rioja and J&A Garrigues acted as advisors to CAF under New York, Argentine and Spanish law, respectively.

Pan American Energy is an integrated energy company with upstream and downstream operations in Argentina.

Gonzalo Fratini Lagos, Fernando Fresco and Dolores Reimundes acted as in-house counsels to Pan American Energy Argentina; while Gonzalo Soriano and Alejandro González acted as in-house counsels to CAF.

Martínez de Hoz & Rueda’s team was represented by partner José Martínez de Hoz -grandson- (pictured centre, left).
