Silveiro Advogados incorporates a new Compliance area, coordinated by lawyer Ana Paula Ávila

Silveiro Advogados has announced its newest area, Compliance, under the coordination of lawyer Ana Paula Ávila, who has extensive professional experience in Compliance, Public and Regulatory Law, Constitutional, Administrative and Economic Law.

With the announcement, Silveiro Advogados now offers consulting services for assessment and monitoring of operational risks, internal investigations and due diligence & screening, with development and monitoring of performance involving codes of ethics, crisis management, ESG standards, reporting channels, anti-corruption, anti-harassment, anti-discrimination and anti-bribery policies, among others.

Ana Paula Ávila holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She graduated first in Legal and Social Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS), in 1994.

As part of her post-doctoral internship, she completed a Master in Global Rule of Law and Constitutional Democracy from Università degli Studi di Genova in Italy in 2019. Ana also has training in Compliance from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP) and in Crisis Management from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

She is vice president of the Special Commission on Data Protection and Privacy and a member of the Special Commission on Compliance of the OAB-RS, where she has already served as deputy director of the Superior School of Advocacy and as a member of the Superior Council of Advocacy.

For over ten years, Ana Paula was a professor of Constitutional Law and Economic Law at UniRitter’s Undergraduate and Master Courses, where she was also the coordinator of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program – Master in Human Rights.
