Simpson Thacher advises Banco Hipotecario on €200m global note offering
Simpson Thacher acted for Argentina’s Banco Hipotecario in relation to its offering of $200 million of 9.75 per cent global notes due 2020, issued under a US$800 million global note programme.
The bank is using the net proceeds from the offering for working capital in Argentina and the refinancing of outstanding debt, including the repurchase and cancellation of approximately $122 million its outstanding 9.75% Notes due 2016.
Partners David Williams and Jaime Mercado led the team for Simpson Thacher.
Banco Hipotecario was established in 1886 by the Argentine government and privatised in 1999.
