Simpson Thacher and Pellerano & Herrera advise on proposed sale of Dominican Republic airport operator

Private equity fund Advent International was advised by Simpson Thacher on the proposed sale of its shares in Aerodom (Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI) to VINCI Airports.

Dominican Republic law firm Pellerano & Herrera acted for Advent and Aerodom on the local law aspects of the deal.

Aerodom has a concession contract with the government of the Dominican Republic – which is valid until 2030 – to operate six airports in the country. VINCI Airports, a subsidiary of the French conglomerate VINCI Group, manages 25 airports worldwide.  VINCI Airports instructed Headrick Rizik Alvarez & Fernández as local counsel and Orrick as US counsel.
