Souto Correa Advogados promotes two new equity partners
The promotions will strengthen the strategic areas of the firm, with demands that are expected to grow in 2021
Souto Correa Advogados has promoted two attorneys to Equity partners. They are Fernando Pellenz (pictured left) and Raquel Stein (pictured right), from the Contracts, Corporate and Agribusiness areas.
Graduated from Faculdade de Direito Santo Ângelo (FADISA) and master in agribusiness from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Pellenz, in the beginning of his career, kept his own law firm Fernando Pellenz Advogados.
Soon after, Fernando joined Souto Correa Advogados as a lawyer, until he became an equity partner. In addition, the lawyer is a professor at the post-graduation course in Agribusiness at the Brazilian Agribusiness Institute (IBDA) and of the MBA in Agribusiness at FIA.
Raquel graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS), is a specialist in Civil Procedural Law from the Brazilian Academy of Civil Procedural Law (ABDPC), and holds a master’s degree in Private Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She was a lawyer at Andrade Maia Advogados, then a partner at Carvalho, Machado e Timm Advogados, until she joined Souto Correa Advogados.
Raquel is also vice-chair of the International Bar Association’s Agency and Distribution Subcommittee and founder and member of the Women in Law Mentoring Brazil management group.
