Souto Correa announces a new equity partner in Rio de Janeiro
Souto Correa Advogados annonced the addition of Rafael Santos (pictured) as a new equity partner in the tax practice.
Based in the Rio de Janeiro office, Rafael will strengthen the team, particularly with the increased demand driven by tax reform, but also expanding our capabilities to deliver even more comprehensive and specialized services to clients.
His extensive experience representing both domestic and international clients in tax matters includes advising on M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, project finance and capital markets.
Before joining Souto Correa, Rafael was a partner for almost 12 years at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados, having earlier spent four years as a tax consultant at KPMG.
Through these experiences, Rafael has refined his expertise in corporate and project financing deals, granting of special regimes, and investment structuring. His current focus areas include the energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, and financial/fintech sectors.
Rafael’s arrival is announced with enthusiasm and confidence that his experience and knowledge will be of great value to the firm and its clients.
