Souto Correa announces five new equity partners

Souto Correa announced that five lawyers have been promoted to equity partners, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to excellence, competence, and continuous growth. The new equity partners are: Frederico Hilzendeger, Isabelle Bueno, Manoela Pascal, Rafael Abreu, and Yoon Chung Kim (pictured from left to right).

They have demonstrated exceptional performance in their areas of practice, significantly contributing to our clients and our firm’s success and reputation.

Frederico Hilzendeger is the new equity partner in the Wealth and Succession Planning practice area. He handles a wide range of tax issues, with experience in tax consultancy, international taxation, estate and succession planning, and complex litigation regarding federal taxes.

Isabelle Bueno is the new equity partner in the Corporate, M&A, and Contracts areas. She has broad experience in corporate transactions in general, corporate restructuring, and regulated and non-regulated infrastructure contracts, mainly in energy and natural gas projects. Her practice also includes representing clients in court and arbitration proceedings involving corporate and contractual disputes.

Manoela Pascal is the new equity partner in the Labor practice area. She is experienced in handling complex legal labor matters including administrative proceedings. She provides consultancy to companies in drafting and reviewing codes of conduct, human resources policies and variable compensation programs. Her practice also includes collective negotiations and union relations. She also works with ESG matters, helping companies to develop appropriate policies and providing consultancy on a wide range of matters.

Rafael Sirangelo de Abreu is the new equity partner in the Dispute Resolution practice area. He has broad experience representing clients on complex litigation matters, especially in the energy sector. His practice includes designing strategies to face civil litigation in private and public law, as well as preventing commercial and contractual disputes.

Yoon Chung Kim is the new equity partner in the Tax practice area. Her practice is focused on both tax litigation and tax consultancy, notably on specific segments and products subject to special tax regulation (such as cosmetics, perfumery and hygiene industry, pharmaceutical, medical hospital products, agribusiness, food and beverage etc.) and importation, manufacturing, distribution and sale chain of products.

Currently, the Souto Correa team consists of 214 lawyers and consultants, of which 36 are equity partners.
