Souto Correa assists Bioo Holding in the financing with BNDES
Souto Correa Advogados assisted Bioo Plataforma de Biossoluções Holding (Bioo Holding), a pioneering platform in biosolutions established by Sebigas Cótica and eB Capital, in the negotiation and execution of a financing agreement with BNDES, totaling BRL 157 million, of which BRL 79.8 million is sourced from the Climate Fund, a program that ensures resources for projects and ventures aimed at mitigating climate change.
Souto Correa Advogados also advised Bioo Holding in engaging Banco Santander (Brasil) and Banco Bradesco to issue bank guarantees as security for the financing contract.
The total amount provided by BNDES is to be directed towards the construction of a central facility for receiving and processing biomass waste to produce biogas, biomethane, CO2, and fertilizers, and a CO2 purification system.
