Souto Correa hires partner from Kasznar Leonardos

Souto Correa Advogados has hired partner Anderson Ribeiro, from Kasznar Leonardos to lead its new Life sciences and Healthcare department

Souto Correa Advogados has hired partner Anderson Ribeiro (pictured), from local intellectual property boutique Kasznar Leonardos to lead its new Life Sciences and Healthcare department. Ribeiro will head of the new team, made of four other lawyers and one consultant.

Souto Correa now counts 29 partners in total. The opening of the new practice, which aims to expand the firm’s business in the health sector, follows growing investment in that industry by Brazilian companies, part of which can be attributed to the pandemic.

Ribeiro has over sixteen years of experience in the legal market and knowledge of the life sciences field, relating in particular to healthcare and clinical trials, as well as food and drug law.

Before joining Souto Correa, Ribeiro was an equity partner at Highly Recommended boutique Kasznar Leonardos for the past six years. Launched in 2012, the boutique handles legal issues in the intellectual property area.
