Souto Correa strengthens infrastructure practice with a new partner

Souto Correa Advogados annouced the addition of Fabrine Hartog Soares (pictured) as an equity partner, who will lead the firm’s Shipping and Port Law practice. Her arrival reinforces the Infrastructure & Projects area and expands the firm’s strategic presence in Rio de Janeiro, a key region for Brazil’s economy.

With extensive experience in the maritime, offshore, and oil & gas industries, Fabrine is recognized for her expertise in negotiating and drafting complex contracts, litigation strategies, and alternative dispute resolution methods (ADR).

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), listed as an arbitrator with the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA), holds an LL.M in International Commercial Law from the University of Aberdeen with a focus on international arbitration, and an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

Additionally, she serves on the Corporate Law Committee of the OAB/RJ and is a member of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA). With the addition of the new partner, Souto Correa now has 218 lawyers and consultants, including 36 equity partners, operating in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro,
and Porto Alegre.
