Souza Mello e Torres opens in Rio, adds tax partner

Brazilian law firm Souza Mello e Torres has opened an office in Rio de Janeiro and incorporated a new tax partner

Renata RibeiroThe Rio de Janeiro office will be led by partners Clovis Torres and Sergio Laclau, and by new arrival Renata Ribeiro Kingston, who joins the firm as a partner in the tax area.

Renata (pictured) has more than 20 years’ experience as a tax lawyer.

Six other partners will also be on hand to attend to clients in the Rio office. 

In addition to tax services, the law firm also services clients in M&A transactions, litigation, compliance, capital markets and project financing, among other areas, and serves a variety of industries.
