SPM Advogados strengthens its labor practice

Salum, Persechini, Mattos Sociedade de Advogados (SPM Advogados) announced the arrival of Clarissa Mello da Mata (pictured right) as a new partner in the labor practice.

The lawyer’s arrival marks a new phase in the firm’s structure, which is expanding its practice in this segment with a focus on strengthening its presence as a regional and national leader in labor law.

Clarissa Mello da Mata has over a decade of specialized experience in corporate labor litigation and consulting, having worked at prominent firms such as Mattos Filho, Mallet Advogados, and Barroso Fontelles Barcellos e Mendonça Advogados, where she coordinated the strategic labor practice. Clarissa has experience in class actions, public civil actions, high-value disputes, and complex cases, frequently appearing before the Regional Labor Court of the 3rd Region, the Superior Labor Court, and the Federal Supreme Court.

A native of Minas Gerais, Clarissa Mello da Mata returns to the state after years in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where she developed her career at nationally renowned law firms. Her return symbolizes a new professional phase, focused on applying her legal expertise in a regional context that she knows deeply.

Sara Benevides, in turn, has more than 20 years of experience dedicated to labor law. With a doctorate and master’s degree in the field, she represents companies from a wide range of economic sectors in judicial and administrative proceedings, in addition to conducting consulting services focused on risk mitigation, liability management, and preservation of her clients’ institutional image.

Also a university professor, author of books and articles, and a constant presence at academic events, Sara Benevides combines technical knowledge, strategic vision, and personalized service, always attentive to her clients’ reputation and the sector dynamics that impact litigation.
