Tanoira Cassagne advises Neuquén province on debt refinancing

Tanoira Cassagne has assisted locally and Cleary Gottlieb globally on the $265 million loan

Tanoira Cassagne Abogados (Argentina) and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP (United States) assisted the Province of Neuquén, as debtor, in the refinancing of the secured loans for a total capital amount of $ 265 million.

Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi (Argentina) and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP (United States) assisted Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, as book-runner and lead arranger, Credit Suisse AG, London Branch, as Administrative Agent, Credit Suisse International and Credit Suisse AG, Cayman Islands Branch, as lenders.

The refinancing seeks to maintain the provincial public debt at sustainable levels.

Tanoira Cassagne Abogados acted as Argentinian legal counsel to Neuquén province with a team led by partners Alexia Rosenthal (pictured left) and Jaime Uranga (pictured right), and associates Ignacio Criado Díaz and Juan Sanguinetti.

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP acted as international legal counsel to Neuquén province with a team formed by partner Andrés de la Cruz, associate Benjamin Teran, international lawyers Juan Ignacio Leguízamo and Lara Gomez Tomei, and paralegal Micaela Mingramm.
