Tauil & Chequer act in structuring the privatization of Ceasaminas

Tauil & Chequer Advogados associated with Mayer Brown assisted BNDES in structuring the privatization of Ceasaminas, a mixed economy company of the federal government, supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture, which operates in the commercialization of food items. The work consisted in the evaluation and pricing of real estate assets, including inventory survey, analysis, and structuring, as well as economic-financial evaluation.

The auction that will offer the supply centers to private enterprise has been scheduled for December 22. The minimum value of Ceasaminas’ shares will be R$ 254 million and, for the free counting land, the minimum will be R$ 169 million. There is still the possibility of jointly acquiring both assets, for a total value of R$ 423 million.

The team that coordinated the project was led by partner Bruno Werneck (pictured) and included the participation of associates Juliana Deguirmendjian and Maria Cristina Oliveira, all from the Public Law and Infrastructure areas. The project was also supported by partner Ludmila Braga from the Real Estate Transactions and Investments area, partner Mauro Pedroso and associate Mayara Rahman from the Civil Litigation area, and partner Celso Grisi and associate Giampaolo Marzulli from the Tax area.
