Tauil & Chequer advises Breitener debentures issue
Tauil & Chequer in association with Mayer Brown advised Banco Santander (Brasil) S.A. and Breitener Holding e Participações S.A.
Tauil & Chequer in association with Mayer Brown advised Banco Santander (Brasil) S.A. and Breitener Holding e Participações S.A. (Company), a subsidiary of a investment fund controlled by Ceiba Energy LLC (Ceiba), an American energy company, on the first issuance of debentures by the Company, in the total amount of BRL 225 million (Issuance). The Issuance was carried out by means of public offering with restricted placement efforts, under the terms of CVM Ruling No. 476.
The proceeds obtained by the issuer were applied in financing the acquisition of 100% of equity interest in Breitener Energética S.A., owner of two thermal power plants, located in the State of Amazonas, Brazil, and previoulsy held by Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras and minority shareholders.
