Tauil & Chequer advises Pedra Agroindustrial on the acquisition of São Fernando
Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Pedra Agroindustrial on the acquisition of distressed assets, in the context of Usina São Fernandos’ bankruptcy procedure, in the total amount of approximately BRL 650 million.
The assets will be used by Pedra Agroindustrial in their most recent sugar, ethanol and energy generation plant, Usina Cedro, located in the city of Paranaíba, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, a region with great potential for sugarcane plantations and for the development of soy and corn crops.
The team that advised the acquisition was led by partner Luis Montes (pictured left) and Fabio Peixinho (pictured right) and included associates Nubia Bufarah, Giovanna Bakaj and Ananda Vicentini.
