Tauil & Chequer launches office in Brasilia

Tauil & Chequer Advogados announced its new office in Brasilia led by Luís Inácio Adams, the former minister and Attorney General of Brazil. 

Adams will join the team in the litigation and compliance practices, focusing on cases in the Superior Court of Justice and Supreme Court.

Adams served as a National Treasury attorney from 1993 to 2001 and from 2001 to 2002, served as the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation in the Attorney General’s office. He as also the General Counsel and later Executive Secretary (Vice-Minister) of the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management. In 2006, Adams was appointed the General Counsel of the Ministry of Finance. In 2009, he was appointed as Minister and Attorney General of Brazil.
