Tauil & Chequer represents Tim in BRL1.6 billion ESG debenture issue

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in São Paulo represented Tim in the first ESG debenture issue in the telecommunications sector, the largest ever in the infrastructure segment in Brazil

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in São Paulo represented, as business advisors, TIM S.A. and the underwriter Banco Itaú BBA S.A. in the second issue of TIM’s infrastructure debentures (carried out with the tax treatment provided in article 2 of Law 12,431, of June 24, 2011), in the total amount of R$1,600,000,000.00.

The debentures have a sustainable component that will allow their qualification as sustainability-related, according to the principles established by the International Capital Market Association. It is the first ESG debenture issue in the telecommunications market and the largest ever in the infrastructure segment.

The funds raised through the Issue will be used to finance projects for the implementation, expansion and modernization of fixed and mobile networks in different technologies, including 5G, in order to improve the quality and availability of services.
