Telecom Argentina engages EGFA for $400m note issuance
EGFA Abogados advised Telecom Argentina and Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal advised the joint lead managers and arrangers Citigroup Global Markets, HSBC Securities, JP Morgan Securities and Santander Investment Securities as joint lead managers and bookrunners and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) as Argentinian placement agent, in the state telecom company’s issuance of $400 million in notes.
The notes were issued under the company’s $3 billion medium-term note program, with maturity in 2026 and at an annual fixed interest rate of 8 per cent.
Telecom Argentina was counseled by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, with partner Andrés de la Cruz, and associates Juan Grimau, Linda Zang, Marco D’Angelo, Nicholas Koeppen and Rodrigo López Lapeña, and by EGFA Abogados, with partner Baruki Gonzalez and associates Delfina Lynch, Pedro Torassa and Joaquin Vidal.
Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal acted as counsel to the banks, with partner Juan M. Diehl Moreno and associates María Manuela Lava and Sergio Tálam.
